Another task is to write an essay of about 400 words describing your thoughts on media use. You can include photograph.


As we know, media is way we communicate among each other. And media already exist since humans live in the cave. The media always with us and without it we can’t communicate, at all.Since the social networks made its impact with the success of Friendster. The way humans communicate change rapidly. We don’t have to call them to say hello, we just log in to the social network and scroll down the homepage, everything about our friends will be there.

If we going to organize a birthday party, or even wedding reception, we just use social network as a medium to communicate with our guest. We can just RSVP online. Cool huh? But, sometime people will not take this seriously. I asked one of my friends about someone asked us to attend a wedding reception; they invite us using the social network. My friend said he didn’t take that seriously because he like the traditional way of inviting people to a wedding, by inviting them personally.

If we put everything that supposes to be private on our profile, this will have its own consequences. Sometime social network can get pretty scary. Stalkers will use our social network as a place to update. What happen in our life, photos, videos and with who we communicate? Maybe they will take advantage when they know our weakness. So we have to be careful when using social network because it’s very open. Once we have done something wrong. We will be in trouble. 

One thing I hate the most about social network is cyberbullying. this break my heart. I always read the story about innocent teen commit suicide because of the social network bullying. I know the story of Kenneth Weishuhn Jr. Amanda Todd, Erin Gallahger and Jack Reese. They all took their own life because of cyberbullying Those bullies use social network as a medium to show their hatred and also as a sheild. Amanda Todd's story was so sad; It came from her own little mistake. The bullies use her mistake and bullied her till her death two years later.When her first attempt failed. all the bullies use the social network to encourage her to try again. What was inside this 16 years old young teen mind when she read all those harsh comment. I just can't imagine. this is the video she made before she was found dead.
